I have a confession. I used to buy the daily mail but I stopped and won’t allow it in the house ever since they stitches Ericsson up prior to the world cup then they did it again to JT. There’s no depth they won’t sink to in their moral outrage. I feel better for that.
And here’s where I make a similar confession. I used to read it too, then I came to my senses. In my defence I only read it because my mum used to buy it.

.Take it how you like old bean. When your from a minority that’s had so much hate, bile and crap thrown at you over the years from said publication you tend to hate it. Even worse since most of its readers are sheep who can’t think for themselves and therefore it drives public opinion. I just don’t get why people read it. I dislike The Sun but I understand why people read it, it’s a well put together tabloid. But the Mail? If you don’t want a red top then why the Mail? Why not the Times, a far superior paper in every way (even though it’s a Murdoch title).
Just out of interest how do any of you find time to read so many papers? I can’t even find enough spare to read one let alone several.

… but you won’t find much truth in the Mail.With all of them, the bare bones of the headlines will be correct/factual. Its how they portray the facts they’ve given. They all manipulate/distort or put a twist on them. I’m not seeing the Mail as an unusual case.
All media outlet especially those based in the commercial world preach to some extent to the converted and give the readership what they want.
I find the daily mail particularly offensive because claims to speak for middle England. A place where very nice people live all with there own personal little hatreds. So as a result the paper has a focus on every possible scare story and moral stance dressed up as reasoned debate but in reality it’s filled with hatred and anger for everyone who isn’t white middle classed and living in suburbia
