It still bugs you Mr snowman? Christ you really don’t get out much do you.
Do you sit and look for my posts to try and post sarcastic replies sadsack? For someone who told me a few weeks ago I posted on everything under the sun I sure do see your name popping up all over the place. It was a story about how I felt log trucks can be aggressive drivers and how I wished I hadn’t pulled in because of his attitude. I may have exagerrated exactly how much it bothers me but I didnt think some clown was going to sarcastically comment on it trying to show off and be funny. Maybe you should quit the chest puffing and trying to be the big man. Your like the kids at school who desperatly want to be part of the cool gang but know they never will be and making fun of others for some cheap laughs is the only way they can get some attention. It’s quite sad really. Sounds like its YOU who dosen’t get out much

Where’s me popcorn
No popcorn needed. Im not getting involved in a ■■■ for tat argument with him. Ive said my peice and that’ll be that. He will no doubt come back with some sarcastic childish reply. I let a lot of his stuff go to try and be the bigger person but he cant help himself by pushing and pushing.
When he says ‘you don’t get out much’ he probably means ‘out’ as in night out, just tell him no …because you never take your sleeping bag with you

The only explanation I can give apart from blind spots is. The car driver had right hand indecator on that the lorry driver has acted upon. Highly unlikely but still possible
Even if his right hand indicator was on (and intending to turn right) would not that mean that the car would be in the right turn lane and not going quite so fast ? and again that would still not give the truck the right to fly across the junction at speed ahead of him surely. By what I can see in the video the car was driving perfectly normal for that road and it was the trucker who made a serious error of judgement, for which he got off lightly IMO.

It seems obvious that the truck driver was approaching that junction with no intention whatsoever of complying with,or even being able to comply with, the give way at the junction. In which case it could just as easily have been another truck approaching from the right instead of a car from the left.Which just leaves the question of the most possible likely reason assuming the driver doesn’t have a death wish.

Well, the fella has been done Man reported over lorry 'near-miss' at Tomich Junction - BBC News
A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal after a video was posted on the internet allegedly showing a “near miss” on the A9.
Police Scotland investigated footage on YouTube showing a lorry pulling out of the Tomich Junction near Invergordon and car swerving to avoid it.
A 43-year-old man has been reported to the fiscal for road traffic offences.
The incident was reported to have happened on Monday.
Well done to the police (for once)
This driver shouldn’t be on the roads
GOOD!!
I’m sure in reality its only a small minority but the timber wagons do seem to have a disproportionately high proportion ignorant tossers driving them.

Your absolutely right he approached that junction like it was a bend not a give way. I am in no way condoning his actions. Just trying to think why on earth he would fail to see the car. It was only a suggestion that the car had left an indecator switch on and the truck driver anticipated he was going to turn right. Even if he was turning right he should still have stopped and let the car turn right first.
But you are right he should be dealt with by the authorities. Not to mention if he gets convicted an invitation to a driver conduct hearing.

That’s what I said.In which case anything on the road that needs to be given way to is irrelevant at that point because in the driver’s view there was no give way point ahead.Which leaves the only possible logical reason for it being the lack of advanced warning and road markings at the junction.

Really? Or how about a shocking lack of ability and forward planning? I’m not Mystic Meg but my crystal balls tell me it’s not the first time this truck driver has encountered this particular junction. Which kind of renders your point moot doesn’t it?

So he supposedly knows it is a give way not a a sweeping right hand bend. But he then approaches the former in the ( still admittedly excessively fast ) way that he ( would have been ) expected to approach the latter not the former. While having pointed out the different way in which at least one local authority has chosen to layout a similar junction regards advanced warning let alone the non existent road markings in this case.In which case either we’re dealing with a suicidal psychotic driver or a cavalier incompetent council.Or at most maybe a combination of the latter combined with a case of driving without due care and attention in the case of the former.
I only get 3 mb free per month so I’m not gonna get into this with you CF me old China. Besides, given the location that the incident happened at it’ll only be a matter of another four or five pages before you point the finger of blame at wee Tam Obama or big Jock Putin.
