Procedure shock

Conor:
They get more work done because their wagons don’t get tugged by VOSA, run out of oil half way through the day or arrive at the destination with the load strewn all over the back of the trailer. Unlike the [zb]hole you work at they also don’t tend to schedule work so that you’re chasing yourself up your own backside trying to get the job done before you run out of time.

are you taking the ■■■■■ so firms that expect 30 minutes on a walkround check dont get pulled by vosa then?
“running out of oil halfway through the day” ffs. it takes ten ■■■■■■ seconds to check the oil.
conor,if your trailer was empty and you didnt have to check" load security "how long would the walk round check take you? what if you had the same motor every day?
i bet you’d still hang it out and take half an hour…at least you’d be immune to getting pulled by vosa eh?

Vosa only ask you to show 15mins, that will do me.

Where do they ask that. Official Documentation please ?

There is nothing in law saying you have to show 15 mins for daily checks. It’s just some company procedures.

Fair enough, not trying to spread rubbish.

I’m just going off what the TM said after the auditors came in and listed 34 times over the last few months of occasions where I didn’t. Had to sign a few documents to say I have now been made aware of my ‘mistake’.

Do any of you have to do in trip inspections? Or pre trip every different trailer you use during the day? Or is a one time start of shift deal?

Does looking at the tyres as you walk to the back to unload count ?

you still using these down there aint you Denis

That’s a posh one, it’s round :grimacing:
