oh dear, someone wasn’t paying attention. :unamused: :unamused:

i know some firms will employ anyone, but prestons of potto don’t generally employ fools. so i’ll put that down to just one of those days.

you wonder how some drivers obtain a licence!

No one can say they’d never do it.

I had dealings with them years ago and I agree wholeheartedly, good company.

I agree with what’s been said, good company.

It annoys the hell out of me that all fuel stations don’t have enough space for truck access.
Getting fuel is the bane of my life, trying to find a station that fit’s a truck off the main A roads.

Like the extra ‘s’ on the end there though Luke? just to give it that foreign edge? :unamused:

Looking at the pic he s come a long way under that canopy before hiting something that was obviously lower, a little unlucky perhaps?

Hope the driver wasn’t sacked he must feel terrible , was the height of the canopy indicated?

Ouch! :open_mouth:

one of those things you hope you never do but know sooner or later you’ll stuff something up somehow and some sod will be there to put it on the web.

All that just for a can of coke!

I did it years ago delivering to a filling station for Booker Foods. Indicated canopy height was fine, only had a little TK Bedford fridge box, but very much like that one I didn’t spot the lower bit sticking out by the shop.

That particular one is so low that the site should really have signed that lane “No HGV’s”; by the look of it the top of his cab only just missed.

There is a lot of it about

Totalled, hope it did landis the driver in too much trouble.

ok hat, coat

johnnytruckfest might ave some more pics. quite nasty that though

I was trying to make a delivery a few weeks ago but had to drive past the place to get parked up while I waited for the loading bay to be free. A youngster at the delivery point suggested I turn round in the garage opposite which seemed like a good idea as it certainly looked high enough. On closer inspection the roof was signed at 3.5m whereas I was running at 4m. Going into any garage with an HGV needs to approached with caution. He did seem to have got in a fair bit before catching the roof.

I think they should all have to have the height in feet as well as metres. Not that it would stop you being any higher I just don’t like having to convert it. :stuck_out_tongue:
