Poole to bristol

Best way please.

Best way please.

Train , coach, plane, car, push bike , motor bike, boat, the list is endless…
You really need to give a little clue on size of vehicle and where your going to avoid things like bridges traffic hold ups etc you get the ideal

Look at your map,the straightest route is up the A350 through Blandford an interesting route to Warminster then on to Bath and down the A4
into Bristol.Damned hard work though.or you could go Dorchester,Yeovil through to the M5 at Taunton. And maybe a local lad will come on here
and give you an easier route.

A350 Blandford to Shaftsbury is an arse. I’d go across to Dorchester then to Yeovil (nice drive) then head across to Taunton then M5 that’ll be the easier more economical way. What will you be driving/hauling plus where in Bristol are you heading ?

The A350 is awful… utterly awful.
Take A35 to Dorchester, A37 to Yeovil. After that, depends which part of Bristol you want.

Dorchester, Yeovil, onto A303, A358 to M5 at Taunton junction up to Brizzle… nice road, nice drive, great views.

Yeah…done the 350 before
I’m heading for filton and will be approx 30t after tipping at poole.
14 foot high.
Currently at cherwell valley…but aiming for ringwood tonite.

Looking at a map, would suggest using the a350…which is unsuitable.

Most direct route is the A350, not as bad as they make out, some great views. Our advised route used to be Ringwood to Salisbury then A36 to Bath then A4 or M4. Bridge at Wilton is 14 Ft.
Dorchester to Yeovil to Taunton seems a long way round.

The A350 narroes in a few places but I think it’s a lovely drive if you’re not pushed for time and don’t mind meandering behind something bigger & slower!

Dont be childish
Why is the A350 unsuitable man up of course it’s suitable

It’s a long way round to go Dorchester/Taunton !

What’s wrong with the A350 ?

A driver that admits he’s thick…a rare thing indeed.

I bet it’s only 20 minutes longer if that and would be better on fuel and also is a reasonably nice drive, plus he was going to Filton so that way would miss any town centres especially Bath or Bristol.
