they are using a hell of a lot of agency drivers just now. i can understand that with retail deliveries but not with their sector. they wont pay enough to get me in there again. whatever they offered it wouldnt be enough

only coz they can’t get full timers lol even newbies tell them to ram it

Easy. Never.

Bought and paid for by CM, so never ever any chance of anything ever being allowed on here that will show any major manufacturer or operator in a bad light.

It’s actually quite true that Trucknet and it’s bosses could find themselves in hot water over some of the allegations made on the boards, as could the person making them. Companies don’t like negative press and will do their best to remove it at source.

Judging by the general consensus on the subject. I am surprised nobody has ever flipped the ‘P’ into a ‘b’ and added a ‘S’ at the end of the company name? :stuck_out_tongue:

believe me a few have lol even office staff at bookers goods in used to call them bollock scotrash

i refer to them as Pillocks and some of them struggle to get on a bay on our side of the yard at booker/iceland. Sometimes you want to drag a driver out and put their trailer in yourself

In fairness to the drivers who do work for companies like that they are likely just new and in for experience at pitiful rates or conditions so they likely have a higher percentage of new drivers who had to start somewhere.
We all had to learn some time

Lol scanny I’ve been in bookers a few times, not exactly tight haha, we do all have off days though.not getting any training doesn’t help either though lol my first time with a longer trailer with the rear steer was in bookers took about four attempts to get on a bay I didn’t realise the wheels had locked while at an angle  I do fail to see how a company could sue when you can prove what ■■■■■ going on in there.

We do have those days where an easy reverse makes you look a right ■■■. Usually when there is a crowd

i haven’t pulled one of the longer trailers yet. I am still pulling deckers to Cairnryan or singles to Warrington. Double run and night out today which was my idea so i really had to catch the last boat. I have used my 10 hour drives and all my reduced rests since Thursday night. Just a little bit of pressure but i made it

Not all the time, my partner started with a company that was crap with low pay etc, he jumped ship and went to Gilbraiths, who have now been taken over by them, he was happy with his job, pay etc. We shall just have to see what happens in the future.

Probably after those who criticise us put their own money on the line and publish such comments themselves- and take any consequences rather than looking for someone else to take the rap… The good news is we will be shortly implementing the new defamation act procedures on these forums, which means that our responsibility for your comments is somewhat diminished- so you (when it comes into force) can be more forthright- the bad news for you- is if we cant identify you by real name and address it will still go,( you will have a chance to tell us) and if your not willing to stand up for those comments and not going to let us pass all your details onto a complainant it still going to go- However if you give us full details so their lawyers can serve you directly we can let it stay and the full force of the law comes down on your head not ours

So its a lot easier for us- say something sue-able- either give us your details so they can sue you direct or your comment disappears- seems a lot fairer system to me- and will allow the keyboard warriors who don’t want someone else to fight and pay for their battles the chance to speak openly
