I think the only true solution is a in/out referendum, with the proviso that if the vote is for ‘in’, that we go all the way in, and stop ■■■■■■■ about on the sidelines. That’s the only way the European Union can work fully. One parliament in charge of the workings of one currency, one main bank, one set of laws, etc etc with all countries fully in, no opt-outs, and all treated equally with no veto. The powers that be, in the UK, know that if this were to be offered the result of any referendum would be a landslide against.
The scary thing is that most people and definitely the government have really always known that the EU agenda has always been all about a federal USE,which is what you’re describing, from day 1 of us joining it.The idea of putting a sovereign country like Britain into such a federation is a case of letting the lunatics running the LabLibDemCon take over the asylum and will probably be a case of condemning future generations of Brits to a war of secession to get their country back at some point.Which, unfortunately for the country, would probably fail just as it did in the case of the secessionist anti federalist forces in the US Civil War.

The fact is it’s better to knock the project on the head now while we’ve got the chance to do the job peacefully.
