Ah well. Tried by a court in Bangladesh. A country that rates very badly for corruption in politics and justice. (About140th of 180 for judicial fairness) Never informed by Bangladesh that a trial was taking place. Found guilty in her absence.
Yep I daresay that @robroy will find that compelling proof.
He will not accept at face value that a President, “elected” unopposed, supported by the military, could possibly be, in any way, trying to harm political adversaries.
Bangladesh is a corrupt country. It has a judiciary similar in fairness to Iraq and Iran.
Would @robroy accept without question judgments that came from those countries?
I expect he would; if it was against a Labour MP.
You really do feel the absolute NEED to defend these clowns at every turn and every cost don t you?
Even at the cost of making yourself look a bit of a caricature bordering on fool in your apologist stance.
The OBVIOUS thing to ask is when it comes to YOU is would you have that same stance if she was a Tory who had been sentenced to a jail term in her own country?
And we ALL know the answer to that one.
As for your defence and apologist stance in your latest role you have taken up on yourself….’(’’New apologist and defender of the Moslems’’ )
Here’s a list of Islamic ideology from the Khoran for you to peruse (and no doubt interpret as ‘‘Racist’’ in the inimitable lefty style because it does not correlate with your official line.)
Just watch out for those illegal immigrant randy Islamic young men I mentioned previously hiding in the dark for you coming home from The Liberal Club.. and avoid being bummed to death, they may not appreciate your defender status….best hire a ‘ ‘‘Minder’'.
I think that the UK has a pretty good, but not infallible, Judiciary.
If Boris Johnson was tried for a crime in Iraq, Iran, or Bangladesh, I would very much doubt the fairness of the trial. Especially if he had no chance to defend himself.
If he was tried for a crime in the UK I would tend to agree with the verdict.
Yep, I remember that.
From the 1979 Tory campaign, famously with a poster showing a dole queue. Thatcher got into power, and UK unemployment went from about 6% to about 13%.
saddiq already tended her resignation over it apparently the posh flat that her aunt bought her (yep the same one that has been sentenced with her) apparently saddiq didnt know where the money came from so it was all ok but she resigned as not to embarrass starmer…oh wait she still has a cushy number
I’ve found that the best way to reply to the deluded apologist and anti Tory dog sh, that Franglais incessantly feels the need to post (although I don’t know tf why as we all have him fully sussed ) is just with a ‘‘LOL emoji’’ …..it kinda says it all, saves time and printing, and covers everything.
1984 under Thatcher it peaked at 11.9 and reduced to 7.9 when she left.
Today’s latest figures.
The unemployment rate in the UK was 5.0% in the three months to September 2025, which is an increase from the previous year. This figure corresponds to 1.79 million unemployed people, a rise of 282,000 over the last year. The youth unemployment rate (ages 16-24) is significantly higher at 15.3%.
Overall unemployment: 5.0% for July to September 2025.
Number of unemployed: 1.79 million people.
Youth unemployment (ages 16-24): 15.3% for July to September 2025.
Year-on-year change: The unemployment rate has increased from 4.3% a year ago, and the number of unemployed has risen by 282,000.
Yes. My error. Not the 13% I misremembered.
It was about 6.1% when she came to power, and 7.9% when she left.
I do not dispute the figures you give. I do think that unemployment is a valid metric to look at.
It should be looked at in context, as should all metrics.
I do not like the politics of Thatcher, and the unemployment figures under her could have been improved under a different Gov. IMHO.
But all Govs exist in a global economy and their policies all take time to have their effects shown.
yep as i keep telling you but you want to believe all the moaning minis that would rather see a murdering ■■■■■■ forginer doing a job than an american he did a sterling job every metric is up rather than the budget and policies from labour
Here we go again the usual ‘‘Franglais defensive political tennis top trumps’’ routine when he hears the truth or something he does not like…..which are usually one and the same thing.
I keep telling you mate….none of us, but only you are still concerned about the last Tory govt, Johnson Truss et all …….it is THIS present govt who are in the limelight.
As for your obsession with Nigel (my hero ) Farage, if he did I’m sure he had a good reason.
“Today was the best Conservative budget since 1986”
What I wonder
is the good reason, you are sure about, he had?
What good reason for the raising of mortgages for millions of ordinary citizens? A £30 billion loss for the UK economy?
Are you really one of the multi millionaires who stood to pay less tax? Not really a working man?
Are you a turkey who thinks that Bernard Matthews is a vegan?
Or do you just blindly accept what you are told by this particular politician?
You “are sure he had good reason” Yes. He wants himself and his rich sponsors to pay less. That is a good reason for him.
Ah…says the person who during the previous Tory Govs continually referred to Jeremy Corbin and Diane Abbott, even after they had the Labour whip taken from them.
Ah says the most servile to the cause deluded gullible man I have ever come across…..time for yer own irony meter mate.
Yeah whilst presumably (or more no doubt ) responding to you on your continuous incessant and tedious daily Tory hate campaign you did on this forum during that said Tory govt.
I’d actually forgot all that I may (or may not) have said …. it obviously ain’t anywhere near as important to me as it evidentlyb is to you in your sad life.
