I agree we have too many arriving in the UK, and the backlog of asylum applications needs work a lot of work to reduce it and sort out genuine applications and fake ones.
And people ask why single men of fighting age? Eritrea , Indefinite National Service , imagine being conscripted for indefinite in the military and subject to very harsh conditions, as a young man.
Mr Justice Eyre has decided a hotel cannot be used as a hostel without the due process of planning application and permission for use as such, therefore for those banging on about hostels they do not exist for illegals.

Rob, I read up and look into the reasons for them coming here. some are chancers, but most are coming for a better life, so sitting in a “4 star” hotel for over a year, not allowed to work (legally) until granted asylum. living on £48 a week or £10 a week if in catered accommodation. The UK isn’t in the top ten of destinations either. Reasons for coming to UK are usually friends and family already here, and can speak English. And the ones without a reason or genuine claim should be deported. Along with any criminals discovered.
And I never voted Labour in the last few elections.
They come here because they know there get handouts accommodation and work cash in hand.
They can’t get that on France Spain germany or what ever country’s they come through to get here.

But.
If a person arriving in the UK in a small boat does not claim asylum, they are subject to detention and removal, either to their home country or a safe third country. While awaiting removal, they are detained indefinitely.
Yeah I know exactly what the official line is, but official lines especially those set out by govts are agenda laden and not entirely accurate.

Their rights while waiting for asylum to be decided and granted are similar to if it had been granted.Food accomodation and cash ‘allowances’.
If they’ve arrived on the beach by definition that’s illegal.They should be sent back to their place of origin.If they refuse to provide place of origin how can they claim asylum.
