Asylum seekers are given free housing whilst their claims are being assessed. It is illegal for them to work at this time. After they are assessed they are either liable for deportation, or can then get a job and earn their keep like everyone else.
Whilst being assessed the Gov give accommodation and food. They do not give “every ‘kin thing going”. Some charities give extra.
Yes. Our infrastructure has been hammered by many years of underinvestment. Someone arriving tomorrow is not the one responsible for that.
