I have a veritable library of books on almost everything. Including religion. Does that make me a multiple personality disordered thug because I have copies of religious texts written for those who commit violence against others.
Given the criminal in question here has committed gross acts of violence, it would more suggest he was deranged because despite he had such a range of reading material he still couldn’t find the answer to world peace. (he didn’t have a copy of Karl Marx apparently)
I have studied all sorts of wars etc from early days to present days. As yet I haven’t gone on to commit any atrocities. I’d like to think I’ve learned a few lessons about planning wars though, logistics mainly.
Just how far would you take the idea that someone with something is automatically guilty because they have something, which is what you appear to be doing.
His actions show his guilt, he murdered innocent young children. Are you saying that no one except scholars should study wars etc? Doesn’t that result in a less educated less informed population which then are more at risk at been led into extremism by someone who has studied wars etc. If people don’t know anything, how can they truly judge current events.
The first step to preventing history repeating itself is to learn history. The killer probably would have killed or tried to kill someone whether he read up on wars etc, or not. He probably had that evil seed within him already.
Want argue differently? Want to claim that it was because he read about violence, he then became violent?
argument here for you: Islam is younger than Christianity by 600 years. History shows that christians were murdering, rap ing and looting others in the name of Jesus, 600 years ago. One could argue that if it was fine for christians to indulge at the young age of 1400 years because their book said go forth and multiple, take and suffer witches not to live, then it’s fairs fair for 1600 year old Muslims to be still doing a bit now, as they’re the same age so to speak.
Heck even Buddhists were doing a fair bit of rap ing, looting and murdering only recently. Or is that OK because it was against Muslims?

My gut feeling is that Starmer has at last “read the room” or more likely has had the room read to him (after all his ilk are typified by their absolute surety that their way is the only sensible way) and has finally understood the nationwide groundswell of hatred directed at the labour party (no capitals) and has attempted a band aid here.
The only problem is that I certainly don’t, and don’t imagine that many people have a problem with legal migration. It’s been happening since time immemorial and has generally enhanced the country.
His latest plan to curry favour doesn’t address however the chief concern which is ILLEGAL MIGRATION (you can call it irregular until the cows come home, but we all know it for what it is; an invasion by stealth) and will do absolutely nothing to stop the flotsam and jetsom washing up daily on Kent beaches. Until that major problem is addressed he’ll still be regarded with utmost contempt ( by those who matter obviously).
