Police Crackdown

A tip. Don’t get caught then you won’t be fined. Explaines why your upset as you had done something for the police to clap eyes on you. Maybe in furture you don’t be silly and get caught?
Yeah,I made the mistake of getting into the driving seat that day.
PS. Don’t patronise me, & get a grip of your atrocious spelling or this discussion is at an end ,you box ticking…ex-cop! :smiling_imp:
What next?Ex-PCSOS putting their 2pennyworth on here?

Pot kettle black comes to mind.

Police intelligence test; if they pass ,they fail!

Same as the steering wheel attendants intelligence test, then?

Well provided they can round up enough intelligent ones I suppose.

The fines go straight to the treasury.

Perhaps if so many “professional” drivers didn’t break the law, there wouldn’t be so many fines handed out.

And you lot moan about the police. Get your own house in order first?

Fair comment but then “perhaps” they will crackdown on the diesel and load thief’s, ahhhhhhh but that doesn’t earn as much and doesn’t sound as good when in the local press. :unamused:
Us lorry drivers are the scum of the earth and should be treated as such whilst all those thieving gits are just trying to feed their families.
“Perhaps” you have never woken up in the morning and found an empty tank or stuff missing off your trailer (and that’s when parked in a “safe” place as in msa or truckstop)
Get a life and get real.

I think i said this before to you and you got upset and got very rude about it. Police have nothing to do with safe parking etc. It’s down to the driver to know where it is safe, or not, and my advice is, If you know that the area your parked in is a fuel hot spot area then don’t park there at all. If you do park in that area then your to blame, no one else. (Apart from the herberts who steal the fuel)

I don’t know if Roadsrat will agree, but catching a diesel thief in my opinion red handed is like winning the lottery. Again it is down to the drivers to help and inform the police if they seen a sus vehicle hanging about parked up near trucks, but again truck drivers don’t phone the police as it will make them look soft. Now days the thief don’t have to be near the truck to steal the fuel, they can be 500 meters down the road so it won’t look like there up to anything.

Yep your quite right,i did get very rude :unamused:
so your with that rat thing on here ,wouldn’t expect anything else from a failed cop,
so police think all those lorry driving offences are VERY serious, O.K. LETS TAKE TODAY FOR EXAMPLE.

M6 southbound 8 miles north of Keele, a full red curries international on lt plates is weaving a bit in lane 1 and 2 varying between 45 to 50 mph . when he steadies up i start to overtake and get along side his cab.it’s double manned and they are watching a film on laptop which is square in middle of dash(not pointing to one side), Both are eating a meal of sorts from containers.
I back of and using a handsfree phone kit call police and give all details etc to them.

I was behind them all the way to hilton park services and not one police car even came near, they obviously thought that being foreign and doing that was either not dangerous or to much hassle to do the paperwork etc.
i did phone it in again but was just asked for same details even when i quoted the reference number given in first call.

Won’t even bother doing that again.waste of time if it not a money earner or qudos at the local nick/local paper.
ohhhhhhhhh by the way i won on irish lottery today

As I’ve already said, resources are scare in Roads Policing units. They’ve been cut right back and are often dealing with non-roads policing matters. Clearly there wasn’t any available patrols nearby?

You’ll be surprised at just how few RPU officers are actually on patrol.

How much did you win?

Also Gezt, i am not with Roadsrat and this “Failed cop” thing, water of a ducks back. I have had worse thrown at me

so your no longer a cop, your a “lorry driver” so get out of uniform and get into lorry driver mentality, as in
you need to be there on time and when you are your kept waiting 2/3/4 hours…boss wonders why you aint at next pick up. you get away then trafic hold up/boss wonders why you ■■■■■■■ about.
you get to next pick up/del and wait 3 hours.boss thinks you havin a laff,
then you get back on road after all the hassle and plod pulls you up for a “routine check” you notice there are no cars/caravans/[zb]? ETC pulled in for same routine check.
you go online to truknet to ■■■■■ abit an let of steam.
THEN 2 mega pillocks called mickeyblue and rat come on and tell you how to behave etc as if they are gods children and can freely preach whilst one has failed in his first job so now feel good enough to do his second lowly job.
my stock answer to you both is …OFF
please feel free to choose any first word you desire.

Don’t come here and preach to long serviced drivers with more experience than you 2 will ever achieve in your lifetime.
YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED ,END OF

PLEASE GO … OFF TO A POLICEMANS ACHIEVED/FAILED FORUM.

Yet strangely enough you appear to be qualified in police matters! Ironic!

Hauliers have had action taken against their O licences based solely on tachograph evidence for exceeding 40mph shortly after leaving their operating centres, when there were only single carriageways in the area.

Orange trucks from Wisbech by any chance. Remember that case well.

I knew we had something in common with steering wheel attendants!

The average steering wheel attendant, even the ones wearing flip flops, are generally more honest and better socially adjusted than the majority of police officers.

But of course we don’t have a badge to hide behind…

Oh I don’t know about that!

I’m not sure what’s so “socially adjusted” about a truck driver who only grunts and swears, stinks of B.O., is unshaven, has greasy hair and wears the sane dirty stained clothing every day!

Roadsrat… when you leave school and grow up, you really ought to actually go ahead and realise your fantasies and join the Police, you have definitely demonstrated in your short time on this forum that you have the right attitude to qualify as a modern Traffic Division Police officer, ie a know it all smart arsed patronising [zb]. I remember when there was an element of mutual respect between truck drivers and Police, for eg.From the Police side, an unwritten law that 45 to 50mph was acceptable on a clear Aroad, and 50 on a d/c when the limit was 40, or to put it in simple terms for you, they actually used a bit of discretion back then and did not concentrate on easy target revenue raising operations. An eg from the other side is a lot of truck drivers, including me on at least 2 occasions, would stop and help out at a RTA scene. As for today’s new generation of dumbed down Police, or at least most of them, the words ■■■■ and fire, rather than help, spring to mind, as they are generally, I have found, to be of the same attitude as displayed by yourself.
Alarmingly it could even be that you are GENUINELY a Traffic PO :open_mouth: and not a schoolboy troll at all ,if so given what I have said, I believe you will go far. note… Not intended as a compliment, but judging by your arrogance you will no doubt take it as so :unamused:

I left school twenty odd years ago. :unamused:

Thanks for your thoughts, even though it’s a load of s**t.

You just don’t get it do you, can you not see that you are being supplied enough rope to hang yourself  , and you sure as hell are taking up the offer :unamused: . You are just demonstrating everything that I said about you by your ill thought out immature responses to posts aimed at you, and lack of ability to form an intelligent constructive point. If you genuinely are in the Police, which I doubt as even I don’t believe they have been dumbed down to your level, God help us if your demonstrated level of intelligence and inability to respond in an articulate manner is the criteria required in todays Police Service, now get into bed and don’t tell your parents that you have been talking to strangers on the internet, otherwise they may take your laptop off you, there’s a good lad

You’re very patronising, aren’t you?

“ill thought out immature responses”? “lack of ability to form an intelligent constructive point.”? Given the content of posts aimed at me, what do you expect?

Its all very anti-police here, what are you expecting? Personal attacks as well? Perhaps you should take a look at what your brethren are posting.

I’m all for grown up discussion. Sadly, none has been forthcoming. Shame.

You are going to look very silly when I’m confirmed to be kosher. I hope you don’t feel too stupid.

“I saw a woman brestfeeding at more than 55mph on the a14 yesterday , is that worth a fine ? or is it a rare find, or then is it classed as fast food
holliefabbabe”

^^^^^ No, it’s warm food, so there’s some tax avoidance going on!

I’ve skimmed through this and if I’m reading it right (and I have been drinking) A copper has come on a trucker forum and is shocked to be getting the flying ■■■■ taken out of him.
And yet we are the stupid ones. Move on son!!

It was not my intention to come across as patronising, it was an opinion formed after the arrogance, displayed in your posts, a lot of which that brought on the anti Police opinions and hostile responses that you speak of on this thread, but most of which are due to experiences with the Police amongst “my bretheren” as you put it.
Sorry if my attempts at “grown up discussion” did not meet your approval, but you might consider for a moment that the words pot and kettle may be appropriate at this point. As for me potentially looking silly, and feeling stupid, thanks for your concern, but it may surprise you to learn that I really couldn’t give a toss, maybe hard for you to believe, but nevertheless true.

That’s his problem he hasn’t come out that’s what lured him to a life of lustrous moustaches, shiny uniforms and mostly working in close proximity to other males. Unfortunately the repressed feelings manifest themselves as an obsession with trivia like seatbelt wearing and minor speeding offences.

35 drivers on the phone?

Well done to the police I say.

Oh and grow up.

Completely poor…

It is very bad and dangerous when lorry drivers are on the phone without a doubt…

However, Why isn’t more crackdown done on foreign drivers who park on the hard shoulder (cab curtains closed)… constantly watch dvd’s etc on motorways ?

If i was a politician, i would bring a toll road system in for non-british vehicles… £20 per day and have a display disc on the rear number plate which can be put on a system (similar to ANPR)…

£150 Automatic fine for rule breakers.

I’d also remove this ‘NO TAX FOR SMALL CARS’ they still use the road… what if the country all had no tax cars…

The roads would remain undamaged ? I think not.

Police arent interested in fuel thefts etc… only money making and targeting hitting.

I agree about the phone thing, I also agree with your point about fuel thefts and money making excercises, not sure about the old “let’s have a go at the foreigners” thing, I reckon the old dvd chestnut may be an example of driverbull, like the bus load of kids and having a crap in the back of a tipper :unamused: . A better way of looking at why they park where they do would be asking why?..It’s because there is inadequate suitable parking facilities, even UK drivers have difficulty finding somewhere and end up parking in unsuitable and unsafe lay bys, so what chance do drivers from other countries have. The knock on effect is thieves see the lack of security and light as an opportunity. that is where the Police (SHOULD :unamused: ) come in and POLICE it, not concentrate on drivers eating Mars bars etc etc, so lets not fuel the anti foreign driver feeling that’s often displayed on here, having driven foreign registered trucks in the past, I have been subject to it myself.
