Police 1 White van man 0

Couldnt stop laughing at mr white van man today!!

Was coming into fleetwood and got stuck behind a tractor woth a trailer doing approx 30mph… behind me was a white van then behind the van was a Range Rover plastered in the poice livery… so im just toddling along expecting the tractor to turn off at any point. The road widens to allow a right turn and it chevroned off with a box for the turn.

The tractor indicates to turn right and starts to pull over (i was shocked he even indicated!) and the next thing i see is this van flying up the outside of me on the chevrons. narrowly misses the tractor and he was totally dangerous. So i see the police behind me, couple of miles later im cursing the police, couldnt believe they hadnt pulled this fool. The van by this point was only 100m in front of me! Next thing police come flying past me and indicate for the van to stop… van continues to wear that shaped glass is and pulls in the layby once you turn left!

Couldnt stop laughing as when i passed he looked like he was ready for a good rollocking!!

Really hope he got more than that as it was just sheer stupidity!

How he didnt see the cop behind him or just didnt give a toss… who knows!! But maybe justice was served!

Sorry this thread is usless without video… but i had to tell some one! hah

Its called shardenfrauder, laughing at other peoples misfortunes

No it’s not, it’s called Schadenfreude. It’s german, there is no equivalent English word!

Any tractor drivers care to explaine?

Did the van overtake where there is just a right turn or 1/2 mile further on thru’ the dip where there is a staggered junction?

It was through the staggered junction, what a place to decide to overtake!

Oh yes it is!
There’s no single word in English for it,but that is the closest description of what it means.

I can tell you he did get a ticket. As I saw him getting back in his van after said incident looking very sheepish with a ticket in his hand.

i think when he over took he realized he had dropped a clod. i wouldnt have laughed if there was no chevrons etc. but to even consider overtaking on chevrons with a cop behind you… its just daft!

Driving like a muppet and then getting caught is hardly misfortune - karma possibly

Where does it say you can’t drive on chevrons (unless it incorporates a solid white line)?

Any Cadbury Double Deckers care to explain why?
