POA

AlexWignall:
Cuerdon is the VOSA Station near J29 on the M6.

Ah, I see. Thanks for that, I have learnt something new. We start heading back south at J28 so hopefully won’t encounter them.

commonrail:
that`s ok,i forgive you

Haha, nice one.

commonrail:
nobody from our office would dare ask a driver why they had stopped at a services for an extra hour.if they make life difficult for me they know i could make it far worse for them :unamused:

the only thing you are requied to do at our place is make money.

if you do your in if you don`t your out…end of

I learned quite early on in my working career these three little words.

Nobody is indispensable :stuck_out_tongue:

like i say, been there 5 years so must be doing something right.

commonrail:

I think the hammer and sickle is a good pictogram on the VU for work, like rockbreaking or ■■■■■■■, the disected square looks like a folded sofa bed, so as soon as you work out you have a few minutes or a couple of hours, pop it on the sofa :stuck_out_tongue:

If the POA is going to be 3 hours or more, then onto rest it will go regardless. That extra rest maybe the difference between getting home next weekend or not. Three now, & nine off tonight saves me my last remaining reduced rest for Friday.

The Availability button could be more correctly called a Demurrage lever, it may persuade the drivers to get the delay times signed for…

Perhaps this illustrates my point with Coffee and Switch?

But that’s from 2002 and is the same definition of POA.

My only point was break is break be it a minute or an hour. I disagreed with your statement that break under 15 minutes has no legal relevance. And still do.

Sorry Jedi Masters, I didn’t read Wheel Nuts post properly and I couldn’t resist a reply.

Read only on this one for me now.

Done my idea to death with Coffee earlier today. You must of been driving this morning? I wouldn’t like to suggest that you disdain to read the plebs posts before you pitch in Switch?

W

I havent seen a newer one and I am agreeing with you. The EC Docs were 2002 which became law in 2005. What has changed?

I was intrigued about the comments of VOSA at J29

They cant check RTD at the road side if you only have 28 cards in your bag. I doubt they can even do it from a digital card at the roadside.

But a comment is not an infringement fine, after all there are many comments about Lukes hair, but he has never been prosecuted for it as far as we know :stuck_out_tongue:

VOSA can comment about WTD if you fill in your Tacho envelopes like a good little lorry driver like me. The same VOSA man can bob in to our office and really make sure that we are compliant.

Don’t forget it was a positive comment from ‘the man’ In fact when the fitter came to do the mechanical check he declined to bother on the grounds that my truck was obviously sound. Not bad for a six year old knocker like mine.

This thread is proving hard to resist.

Ah well I don’t have to worry about VOSA visiting the office for s check.

You just have to worry about the inbuilt prejudice the European Authorities have against Irish Trucks.

I know which I prefer…
