@Dennis how about getting a demountable
cattle box built and have the flat bed modified
so it can carry the box,but drop it off when empty
and do flat bed work as and when you need it,
if the costs and work is there, this what we had
to a 12m trailer as a experiment and then the Boss
had small trailers built for 20ft containers so we
could reload steel out of Italy back into Germany
My bank are the proud owners of these three:
This one makes the wood chips…
These two deliver them…

We used to operate demountable cattle boxes on flatbed wag&drags.
I haven’t got any pics to hand of one with a cattle body on

Most cattle boxes are like that already Pete
here’s some old pictures
edit to add: Of course I’m talking about Rigids/W & D outfits here as artic trailers are usually built on a trailer chassis

I must say Wood Fuel, that’s a very impressive set up you have there. What do you do with the woodchip or what do the factories do with it? If you don’t mind me asking?

Well Pete, I’ve re-read my post and I’m afraid I can’t see where I’ve tried to give you a lesson on anything.
Yes Pete, of course I mean that it’s a demountable body.
I reckon that you already know perfectly well that I said exactly that at first.

The wood chips are boiler fuel - heating for schools, leisure centres, offices, hotels, big country houses and the like. Look at http://www.wood-fuel.co.uk

That terminator thingy is coool! Grab 360, chipper and wagon all in one! The Grinder must be meaty as schizel as well to chip full on trees. Now I bet that set up cost you a fortune. Nicely turned out dude.

Thanks Silver. It’s all very specialist kit so yes, it has cost an arm and a leg. The blower trucks use the same principle as feed blowers, but the blower units and the rotary valves are much bigger.
The chipper has its own 400 hp engine and it does make your ears ring. Don’t know if you noticed, but its on a hook lift skid. When we’re not chipping, we can use the wagon as a tipper with a box body, and to pick up logs with a log carrier body. Three trucks in one. Handy.
