was doing a job in hammersmith this morning and had my phone nicked out the cab
yes i know i shouldnt have left it in the the lorry, and i usually hide it when on a job,but it was reasonably early-8.00 am,and not a rough area.i was only there for 10 minutes at the most, and only realised it had gone when the bloke i had with me (not my usual mate) noticed his bag had gone!!
i dont keep phone on me when out of the lorry because i cant hear it over the engine whilst operating the grab.
first (and last ) time this will happen to me! just dont let it happen to you…
just wish i’d caught him in the act-he’d be eating through a ■■■■■■■ straw for a few weeks if i had lol.
on the plus side it feels strangely liberating not being able to be contacted by anyone!!!
Same thing happened to me about 10 years ago in Nottingham, was only at the back of the truck shutting the doors, got back in cab my phone work phone and drivers hour guard had all gone. Locked cab all the time since
Hi mate one of our drivers had his sat nav and wallet nicked out of his cab whilst un loading, Since then most of us have been issued with a spare key, so we can have the engine running for Hi-ab etc and keep the cab locked.
Still not a nice for you though, I hope you manage to cancel your cards etc before the thieving scum can use them
See if its a contract get it cancelled pronto! My friend had hers nicked in ibiza and reported it when she got back but there was a 200quid bill and she had to pay because she didn’t report it stolen straight away.

I got given advice by a driver to lock the doors when not in the cab. Reason for this advice is because he had his Sat-nav, phone and wallet nicked whilst in Luton doing a delivery at 6am!
couldnt lock doors as i had to use the crane-i am going to see about another key though-although we are in and out the cab every two minutes. got it blocked straightaway, i was worried about calls to nigeria ect!!
only good thing was they left the sat nav!
if phones had a device built in that melted the internals when activated if stolen then it would be pointless stealing them lol
would apple be able to disable phone permantly if i contacted them - they must be able to do something surely?

If reported stolen you can have the phone blocked so noone can use it not just iphone
If it is the iphone do you have the gps turned on if so it can be found using this even if phone off or sim card out ( son though he lost his while ago but used this was in my car had dropped out his pocket )
If you had set up find my iPhone feature on your phone before it was stolen then you can use a website to view the current location of your phone, send messages to it, disable the phone from working or have it sound a constant alarm, amongst other things.

i had it blocked striaghtaway-and no the gps wasnt turned on-doh
but i’m sure the ■■■■■■ that nicked it could turn off the gps easily anyway.what i meant was surely apple can totally disable the phone so some little shop in shephards bush cant unlock it for ten quid!

i hope there wasn’t too much home made ■■■■ on it.
i’d be devastated if mine got nicked. and she’d go ape if it got posted on the internet.
ha ha ha-good job i’ve only had the phone a little while-thank [zb] it wasnt my old phone lol
No you can have phone totally blocked so it will be useless to anyone ( again son did have 1 of his stolen out of his back so blocked phone & sim card it was returned next week but was at footie training )
Always was and always will be!! When in London people! Always lock your cab and don’t even leave a crisp bag visible! It’s the poverty down here you see?
