try and read what was written previously “love”- if you can read very well- i couldnt lock the doors because i had to operate the crane-i only have one key,work it out.even if i emptied the cab of valuables how do you suggest i lock it when i get out when i need the engine running for the pto?

No you can have phone totally blocked so it will be useless to anyone ( again son did have 1 of his stolen out of his back so blocked phone & sim card it was returned next week but was at footie training )
Neither the phone manufacturer nor the network provider (Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile etc) can totally block the phone so that is useless to anyone. All they can do (in this country) is put the IMEI number (the phone’s unique “serial number”) on a database that has the effect of blacklisting it in the UK. All the thief has to do is change this number (or get someone to change it for him) so that it is no longer blacklisted. If you have the kit to do it, it only takes a minute. Other countries have their own blacklist databases, but AFAIK there is no cross-matching of IMEI numbers, so even without changing the number all they have to do is ship them overseas - which they do, by the container-load.
Besides which, blocking the phone from being used on the networks won’t stop the scumbags nicking it in the first place, since they will probably have sold it on for a tenner before you have even noticed it has been stolen, let alone managed to notify the mobile phone company.

no not the first post,the tenth one down actually-can you count that high? or do you just read the first post and comment on it much later without reading whats been posted since ?

and i was in fact touching the lorry when i got robbed-i was four feet off the ground on the near side operating the grab,watching what i was doing,and obviously the thief got in the offside door-have you ever operated a hiab or grab? of course you havent because you are too stupid to even read a post on an internet forum properly before trying to be a smartarse…
care to explain how you would be able to see the door on the other side whilst also facing towards the rear of the lorry?

I bought a second hand phone some yrs ago…from a phone shop it was in good nick, put my sim into it…some realy gross pics on it the shop supposed to delete all data and stuff before they sell them…the bad thing about having your phone nicked is all your numbers some of will be family not nice bleedin scum.
