Hi kate thanks for your reply that explains why i would see them in the Wolverhampton area . Please more pics if you have them thanks keith
I remember Everest foods being at Bobbington near the airfield, did they later move to bigger premises at Wombourne?
Trev, they certainly did move to Heath Mill Road, to what is now the McCain chip factory.
Keith, I will put some more up when I’ve scanned them in…been a bit busy helping an ex colleague of Barrys move house today.
Barry, How long have you been in Canada? Last I heard of you was from Golly and you were at Sidoli with a cushy job … Steve Jarrett says Hi and get some more photos posted up…Oh and do you remember if EFD 68T was ever on the fleet, it was a Scania 81 sleeper cab. I did ask Peter but he can’t remember.
We moved over here in. January I am half retired now Golly came to work for me at Sids when Terbow finished I have not been in touch for awhile I don’t remember that truck sorry Please say hi to Steve, who else do you run in to?
I will do some more pics tomorrow.
I worked for a company in Central Scotland in 1982 who stored tyres for the Brittish Leyland factory in Bathgate . Peter Bowker use to deliver Good Year tyres from thier factory in Wolverhampton . One of thier T/Us was a Hino plus various Scania"s etc , the drivers without exception were the most helpful and pleasant people I have known .
I worked for Peter Bowker for a very short while in '95 or '96.
Me and another guy shared a white streamline 380 on the Pandoro job (it might of even been the one in Kates pictures).
I left for a short tour of duty with Sammy Jones and the eventual glamour of Murfitts. Peter Bowker turned into Terbow (Teresa Bowker I think) just after I left.
Peter Bowker and his family and staff were very kind to me. Especially as I was an unkown driver from another area. I will always remember them fondly.

If anyone is interested there is an old photo of RNT666H when it was in Chuckie Chicken colors on page 236 of the Scrap book thread brings back memories
Does anyone remember a driver named Tony Whittaker ? He came to work with us at MSI International doing Italy in the mid 80’s. I think he worked for Peter Bowker.
