Don’t know if anyone still looks at this but there are some really old photos of Bowker Bros trucks on page 339 of the scrapbook page worth a look

Bowker bros. in Bobbington was a seperate firm to Peter Bowker in Bridgnorth.
Although related Bowker bros lorries were red&maroon from memory and did a lot of work for John Thompson group of Wolverhampton carrying motor pressings, Bob Bowker was a daily sight in MG cars at Abingdon and at Morris Cowley.
Peter Bowker’s (his brother?) lorries were black, gold and red, they carried a lot of traffic for Star aluminium and Redland pipes.

That’s correct but Peter bought Bowker Bros I think 1986 and we ran the two together

I am looking for a driver called Donald McKenzie who used to work for Peter in the 1960’s

They finished as Peter Bowker about 15 years ago, when they became Terbow Transport…Terbow finished about 5 years ago when they became Freelance Trading…Freelance finished just over 2 years ago. :frowning:

Last I heard Paul Lockwood had it not sure what he is doing with it.
Don’t remember odd eye having that but there again he did have a lot of trucks he always wanted something else!!

In a moment of madness I’ve decided to see who’d be interested in a Reunion… Bowker Bros and Peter Bowker drivers, and anybody else who knew/knows anybody from either of these places… any “era”

has any one got any pictures of peter bowkers fleet?, as i remember he ran good few scania 80’s and 111’s,around 84/85 there was a article in either trucking international or truck& driver magazine about them,any one got a copy they mate be able to scan?.
