fair doo’s but posting something like that was going to get you a roasting off the folks on here… That’s why we all come back for more.

I was trying to find out if there were still bosses out there that looked after their drivers as well as mine does. I know that with the big companies treat them as numbers. We work hard and the boss appreicates that fact. As i have said before in other posts,there are alot of people on here with licences but very few drivers. Iv"e seen them come and go at our place, they think they can talk the talk but they can’t walk the walk. In my eye’s the true proffesional driver is few and far between. As others say to much bs in the rdc waiting rooms just glad i don’t go anywhere near them or i would possibly lamp one of them out:-):-):slight_smile:

In the UK …
My last job, I had a mobile phone with unlimited talk and text, countless clothing items becasue I did promotional work, fuel card that enabled me to but almost anything.
Ate Fed ex I got free air travel world wide on Fed Ex planes or 905 discount for me and the family on all airlines.

In the USA …
My first truck company gave me a mobile phone with a 1000 minutes a month, they would give me loan anytime I needed one.
As an O/O my broker provided extra funds over the top for fuel costs etc so on the road food and ciggys’ were taken care of.
With my present company I get 6 shirts every 2 years :laughing: :laughing: Ooooo ! and a jacket :laughing: They will send me cash via Comdata if I run short, I also get free ice cream at Ben and Jerrys if I ask and a similar deal at a very well known American chocolate company although I should say the chocolate in question tastes like soap. I keep the truck at my house even when i am on holiday for 2 weeks so I don’t spend a cent on travel costs or running a car to work.
