People are jealous of stobarts......That's what he says

A revoked licence and Stobarts never checked it?? Not as perfect as they think then.

“Touched his brakes”? Isn’t it illegal to brake check someone?

Am I the only one that was disappointed it wasn’t Mark Dixon?

Not if its being done to an HGV according to the mentality of some motorists

See brake lights - slow down.
See brake lights six times - slow down.
See brake lights umpteen times while running on no licence, pull over and have a break. (then consider the pros and cons of driving with no licence).

Realise if I’m alert enough to be ■■■■■■ off and blow my horn, I’m alert enough to slow down.

Realise at the age of 53 I should know better than to f around with lives for no reason other than I’m late for a delivery, or in a bad mood.

Realise I’m a muppet and better suited to other avenues of gainful employment.

Serves the ■■■ right.

Anyone that uses the size of a HGV to deliberately intimidate or frighten other road users needs their vocational license taking away from them, as they not a fit person to be driving trucks on our roads.

Better to arrive a couple of minutes late than be scraped off the road.

one less prick on the road, don’t drive like a tool then cry its your living.

Jumping on the bandwagon a bit and not just because its stobbies, I feel this driver displays all tne characteristics of someone who shouldnt hold a HGV licence.

The statement referring to the ‘nodding off’ incident that it was ‘just one of those things’ is enough for me, let alone the bullying driving style of this so called pro driver.

Now one could consider the brake test by the car driver as being a little silly especially with a 13 year old in the car but understandable as the only form of perceived defence available, doent make it right but the car driver was in a very intimidating situation.

Scrap heap the best place for the ex stobby.

Rule 1 never use the size of your vehicle to intimidate other road users.
Rule 2 ignore rule 1 on Fridays…

I am utterly shocked and flabbergasted that Stobarts took on a driver without checking his licence or not kept a periodic check on it as he could have had it revoked while working for Stobarts. Same thing though why were they unaware :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Wonder if it will feature in their next TV show :unamused:

No but it is illegal to tailgate!

Is it something that’s taught them in their induction.
Rule 1 every driver is jealous of you even if they haven’t got a hgv licence.

Yes and after their brainwashing seminars they go home and stand in the mirror, full Stobarts uniform including stockings and point to their reflection repeating the words “YOU are the BEST of the BEST, Top Gun, Stobarts through and through”

I don’t work for stobards anymore since the split ,stobards / esl ,but whilst working for stobards my licence was checked electronically and also when on any course I would have to bring both parts ( dcpc being one ) and it was checked ,if you didn’t bring both parts with you then you couldn’t take part in course .
Can’t speak for stobards now as I don’t work for them ,but esl still use this system .

Maybe so ,but are you telling me most modern cars haven’t gotbenough power to overtake a tractor :unamused: :unamused: ,I managed it 3 times today on a17 on way back from holbeach so why we’re all these cars not able to do it .
And a few times I thought for crying out bloody loud get on with it :unamused: :smiling_imp:

Most cars have got enough power but road conditions like traffic coming in the other direction could have made this a bit tricky. Also the possibility that there was a couple of nervous drivers who didnt want to go for it and also that the plonker in the truck may have been able to see the coast was clear from his vantage point but others werent so lucky.

Patience is the key as impatience leads to the dark side (tippers etc).

That said theres usually a que jumper who overtakes a load of cars then the tractor at the front leading everyone else to pray theres something coming in the opposite direction.

Someone has posted on Facebook this morning pictures of a left ■■■■■■ Stobrat overtaking cars and trucks in the fast lane on the m6 this morning ,
Looks like stobrats are employing some right knobs at the moment .

what is this at the minute bit? have you not seen mark Dixon on trucks and trailers?

They’re desperate, that’s why. Goole has real problems recruiting and the list of agencies is getting longer and from further away. I have no idea whether or not this is true but an agency driver on the job I’m on who has been in at Goole said it was the paperwork. He claimed you have to fill in 18 sheets of paper every time you get a truck for the night or change over a truck. I don’t know whether or not its true but given some other outlandish claims last night (£22/hr job in the north east? Hmm) its probably a lot less than that.
