anyone ever worked for these adverts for drivers in linford near tilbury 650 a week
Just rang them. Apparently 3 loads a day out of tarmac linford delivering aggregate ,all forklift off in a area from Aylesbury Huntington Chelmsford ,sounds OK but could take all day just getting in and out of A13 m25. Gonna go for interview though next week as interview at westbury tomoro ,oh the joys of redundancy
Is this the same Pawsons who are based in Hellaby Rotherham who went into Administration a few year ago and set back up in the same name with the old MD’s relations taking over the reigns?
Yes the phonecall was to Rotherham
Pawsons are based at Braithwell near Rotherham.
They do a lot of work for Tarmac (or whatever they are called now). The £650 a week will be on Ltd company no doubt. Their PAYE rates are nowhere near that good!
What area are you in? I could probably give you details of other hauliers running same job.

pawsons have the contract too deliver everything out linfords trupak plant at linford. only other hauliers that collect there now are doing customer own collections or sub work for pawsons.
They used to be part of the £7/hr brigade, silly O’clock starts & long hours, which is why not many of the locals would work for them, & when they phoenix’ed there was a high turnover of drivers.
According to the local paper they keep applying for expansions of their O license on a regular basis. The business is split into seperate parts inc storage, garage, used trucks, renting out yard space etc
I got the job at arla westbury so will give that a go ,don’t think I will bother with this mob 3 loads a day impossible with the delays in the area , staying on the moo cows but gotta moooooove to wilts

So how do the exact same directors set back up the same company using the same name after they have gone into administration?
Basicly they have said they’re skint when they owe money to people, gone into admin but yet been allowed to set back up as per normal a few weeks/months later? I can’t see that myself.
It’s not the same directors it’s the relations that run it now, the wage is £650 but that’s not take home and is based on 4 nights out.

Just verified with Companies House and all of the current directors were directors of the old company.
Make of that what you will!
I think that unless the directors have been made personally bankrupt, there is nothing to stop them setting up.
A few of my friends were affected by the closure of the old company, one of them nearly lost his house because of it.

So thats £100 night out money leaving about £550 gross. They’ll want their pound of flesh for that no doubt too.
I was offered a job with them in 2012 at £7.20ph standard, £8.20ph overtime. Needless to say I declined politely!

Used to be Jack Richards when I was at Tarmac. I know most of the hauliers at the other plants.
Jack richards stopped pulling out of there in 2014, pawson only took full amount out of linford at the start of the month

A few of the drivers went to macfarlane after parsons and about 8 week later that went belly up…anyone could see it coming and I left just as these pawsons lads were starting.
I beat 150 drivers to the job centre thankfully…
Didn’t the owner of Mcfarlanes go in with Pete Osbourne and someone else and set up Innovate Logistics? Then that went ■■■■ up and Pete Osbourne then set up the Green Group pulling out of Maltby if I’m not mistaken?

just too put things into perspective, pawsons arent the only the firm that is on the road today that have been bust and started up again.
As a local, It seems that Pawsons and the Green group are perpetually recruiting
