PAUL GEE's PHOTO COLLECTION (Part 1)

The 110 Scania has a livery very similar to Joseph Foulkes Wednesfield although it has a London reg plate.

Hi Dean,
Yes unusual to see this Chalkers truck in Blue…Chalkers always been red…very well known for these vehicles in this pic…I remember there AEC’s still on the road with Chalkers in the 90s. …always a lovely sight to see on the road.

The original article said there were only 2 other bridges in survival (Middlesboro and Newport) but just a little further upstream from the old Runcorn Widnes bridge is the Warrington Transporter which still stands behind the Crosfield /Lever bros works. There is a society who are trying to get it back up and running I believe!

Deano the F7 car transporter was one of Star’s run by Dennis White out of West Quay Road in Southampton, they did a lot of Reneau’s out the docks all over the country, before the F7’s they had F86’s think they had about 15 or so trucks and were in the same yard as TIP and there transport manager was Mick Sheppard who did the odd night shift to Basildon tractor plant for me both men now gone RIP, Buzzer.
