PAUL GEE's PHOTO COLLECTION (Part 1)

JAKEY:
Scania 81 ,Dai will know the driver of the rockwool ERF ,sure its a Brs Bridgend motor ,great pictures as normal .

The driver of the rockwool erf is Alan Rooker who is a member on here.
I remember the 7 motors lined up brand new and six of the original drivers[may be wrong on the 7th].
This is a photo of the jennings sleeper added of the same motor and the cost of £850 pound comes to mind for each conversion.
Dai

Hi Dean,

Thanks for the details Dai. I wonder why they just didnt buy sleeper cabs when they bought them new ?
I remember discussing something similar and i seem to recall there was only about a thousand pounds
difference in price between a day cab and a sleeper in the 1970’s. :unamused:

The big question is - was the Heanor Haulage F89 called Kermit because it was green, or was it green because it was called Kermit.
Just wondering…
