I remember seeing that AEC/Leyland when I worked for A E Evans.Looks like a LaPorte Chemicals logo on the door but LaPorte units weren’t blinged up like that. The tank is an acid carrier, looks very ex Harold Woodish which would account for Pickfords Tank Haulage sign on tank side,as Woods were eventually part of NFC. Leathers Chemicals and Runcorn Transport Services also had similar tanks.
I can’t for the life of me remember where I saw that unit,I had a Mandator myself at the time.
It’s a Mandator judging by the front wings, or maybe a two pedal Beaver [emoji16]
It’s well cared for, whichever it is and the driver obviously wants to see where he’s going at night.

Possibly a ICI DAF ■■
Yes Dean, more than likely.I think ICI Fibres had a plant at Gloucester which would account for the DD Gloucester reg plate.
Used to be one of the major employers in the Gloucester area. Formerly British Nylon Spinners. Remember the dark blue Bedford TK artics with those huge single axle trailers?
Thanks for the input “ROF”
