It’s not so much the tailgating it’s the fact I felt sorry for this old lady that had billy big ■■■■■■■■ 1 car length from her back. She probably didn’t want to me there as it was but maybe had no another reasonable route option.
This thread has been distracted into defending the tailgater (or criticising the old woman) . . . whatever . . . if you’re a professional driver you deal with it.

Tailgating a car, whoever’s driving it, is wrong.
It didn’t happen so there is nothing to defend
It might have happened, it might not have happened.
We’ve all seen similar incidents.

If ever Rowley gets into London he will post every minute. All he does is moan.He is the type who does things to ■■■■ off his workmates. Anything that does not concern me is none of my business. Chill otherwise you will end up in the looney tunes hospital. The cops are recruiting you can try and then nick all the dangerous drivers.
Does the M6 go there?
Nah I’ve done my fair share of London and I don’t intend to drive in a truck there again.
CookieMonster:
Has Rowley ever completed a shift without having to share details of everything he’s seen?
Reminds me of seeing new people start at the gym and spending more time on their phones posting on Facebook than on the machines
For a guy who once informed me he’d ‘Done the job for years’ he does get far too eager and excited about everyday events, however negative those events may be…still reckon it’s all just fantasy for effect rather than reality though .
Think I may redress the balance, and start a new thread everytime somebody flashes me out or in, let’s me join from a slip road, or displays good and courteous driving (or make up an imaginary scenario for illustraton)…
Hey CM!.. just had an idea, you could be my Jakey and back me up everytime, telling me how good it is to see proper pro driving, and how things are improving.
We could become the Rowley and Jakey nemesis.
Problem is rob me old mate you wouldn’t have much to say with that strategy as you rarely see any good courteous driving. Unless your near me or jake the snake of course. Good news doesn’t make a good story either. The news is full of bad news because that’s what the human race like to hear about.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
there is.
just look in a mirror. (apparently)
as dd999 says only a newly qualified on class 1 nearly a year do the scum work supermarket german mob sub contracted there too many drivers go to slow saleried boys no time for going slow lol
always profesional and curtious with the old right left right left indicator flash when past keep it lit

Yeh I’ll give you that, but we’re on about another type of ‘news’ here ain’t we Rowls, (‘me old mate’ ) …‘Fake News’ , the type made up to get a reaction.
Whether its fake or not, and I doubt it ain’t as you don’t have to travel very far in the UK before you see some knumb nut tailgaiting another vehicle but he certainly got a reaction although not a very good one from so called professional drivers. At least these threads add a bit of spice to the forum compared to some of drivel around.
It lets others see how professionally we can chat amongst each other.
Rowley010:
Going down M6 the other night, there’s a car doing about 50mph…cue the a car shouldn’t be doing 50 on a motorway brigade even though it’s legal…
Less than a car length behind this car is billy big ■■■■■■■■ professional driver in his artic.
As I pass the car I see it’s a little old lady. 80 year old at a guess. Probably only driving on the M6 because she absolutely has to for whatever reason and professional driver with his 2 lane options for an overtake is doing his best to intimidate her into going faster with the size of his vehicle. Pathetic excuse for a professional driver.
So you blocked a fellow driver from overtaking a slower vehicle as you crawled past desperately trying to guess the gap and then by some miracle managed to get both the gender and approximate age of the driver in the dark, or did you move over and give the driver the space ( 2 lane options suggest 4 lane stretch) which makes ID of the driver even more impressive, all that time which your eyes off the road, very professional…or none of it happened and you’re a pathetic liar.
I’ll go for liar as you haven’t proved it and it’s the same story every time. Clown.

Not really Jake, whether Rowleys posts are those of a sad boring attention seeker or not, I think it more shows who can just deal with day to day routine crap, and he who can’t without making a drama out of it.
Trust me, we ALL get it, driving standards in many cases are downright crap, and have dropped considerably since trucks evolved to be just like driving cars, but a routine 10 page thread about it every ■■■■ week on Trucknet,.yawn yawn, is not going to make a ■■■■ of a difference.

He does not strike me as an attention seeker at all. There are certainly others on here that do though. He like me despises bad driving by lorry drivers and likes to let it be known which for some strange reason really infuriates some on here. Now that is a little strange in itself. Makes you wonder, does it not.
No, its probably not going to change the overall poor standards but it might just make some think before acting like a D/head tomorrow, next week or whenever.

Nope, why, because he talked negatively towards a lorry driver. If he had made a positive comment would he still be an attention seeker?

possibly the fact that being ousted as a multiple i.d.troll would imply posting to be an attention seeker for that reason alone, similar to the constant and consistant pish you spout by trying to turn every comment into a rabble about poor truck driver standards compared to your (similar to rowleys) by the book professional do no wrong guff.
it makes no odds anyway you will just frantically scrape something up to see your meaningless reply as usual.
….……Everyone is by nature an attention seeker, otherwise what would be your purpose?
If you do not seek attention, then please go and buy your hermit cave.

None of the above…It is a fact, I was just stating it.

i cant help thinking…
Driving at 50 in lane 1 of any 4 lane motorway in my view is dangerous. Motorways mostly have an increased speed limit and for good reason, to keep the traffic moving. I saw the very same happen a couple of weeks ago, also on the M6 3 lane section. This was at a busy time with lanes 2 and 3 occupied. The HGV behind the ‘under speed limit’ car, kept his distance, did not flash or horn and as I progressed in lane 2, i gradually saw every vehicle in lane 1 disappear leaving the whole of lane one ahead empty. It actually looked like there was a vosa incident in lane 1.
I know we live in a fast paced society and lets face it when we are all older who wants to be on a motorway anyway, the poor woman doesnt want to be there im sure, but it is dangerous and these category of drivers are a problem on motorways.
