Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 2)

Did you recognise the truck, the white one with the rounded front? And why was he sleeping in the digs with a sleeper behind him, narrow I’ll grant but better than sharing with others.

Like I said, corny.
I noticed a lot of Whites.
We never had digs here. In the days before sleeper were a thing, flash blokes would attach a steel bed frame under the trailer. Not so smart for turd herders.

No frame for me at Buntine’s, nestled into the bulldust under the trailer, but I never got shatupon.

That video reminded me of Canonball, did you ever see that?

I did, a long time ago.

Really good video! Thanks.

You don’t need a sleeper tractor when you’ve got a sleeper trailer.

Closest I’ve come to that is making a makeshift tent with a sheet on the back of a flat trailer in summer..sometimes on a high (ish) load.

It sometimes took some negotiating if coming back from a night out in the pub…or club as we did when younger.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Beds on trucks, spoilt for choice.

Even the Turks, it seems, have an interest in old Roadtrains!

A blast from the past.

That would be around the time when UK firms were ‘‘Flagging out’’ on Cloggie plates for tax reasons was it?.
