That Foden & drag is in the hands of Danny Dovey from Totton on the outskirts of Southampton, he has had that motor for a good while and his son is also into the vintage gear.

Couple off fb, suggestions the first is Swiss, looks Bedford based to me….unfortunately i was dubious its AI, but can’t imagine it having much speed if its real,

2nd is a perkins powered beast being moved recently, Latil was suggested, both looked interesting.

Your last phrase occured to me before i got to read the caption.
The roofline looks as if it was originally a van body.

Yep a load of Pollocks

Heading south on the A9 September 2025, Pollock under the Gregory Group umbrella since 2021.

Hop picking holidays, the salt of the earth compared to today’s benefit scroungers.

Thanks for your post on the DIT thread Oily, talking of hops here is a picture of days gone bye

Hops in pockets as they were known in transit from Alton, Hants some years ago.

The “beast” is indeed a Latil M2 TZ, repowered with a Perkins.

It must have been a work of art loading Hops.I’ve seen the photos of the Alan Firmin motors loaded sky high and they look to defy gravity.Obviously there’s a way of loading them just like the wool men knew

We had 3 of those with tag axles all 360s 13 speed Fullers

That Ecocofreight Foden is a funny colour. Same cab style I had at K & M though, very good in its day.

Tarmac contract motor?

few old vehicles at Leyland truck museum today, 4x4 trader and a stunning Leyland octopus bulk blower..

And an old Blackpool fire engine…

That could be embarrassing, it’s a sreer wheel, hub and drum on the side of a 100 kph highway. :face_with_peeking_eye::face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
