The Gentleman in the centre of picture 1 is Terry Walker, when he was a senior transport engineer
with Beecham Foods. Terry was with Robert Baillie Transport from when they started in the mid 1960s.
Because of failing eyesight, Terry resides at The Blind Veterans Home, formerly St Dunstans, Brighton.
Nice Atkis, I love that coachbuilt cab front design of the 2nd picture. I only remember Munros having those, they were yellow too I think. But it is a mark 1, so where is the radiator? Was it a foreunner of the behind the cab header of the Mk 2s?
Surely not, as, looking at the windscreen wipers it appears to be an earlier model.

Lochinver last Thursday, two from Brittany waiting for boat to come in that night and two Peche(Lochinver based) waiting for a Saturday landing for Spain. The Brittany chap washing his wagon had excellent English, so a good natter with him telling me âwe in Brittainy are Celts, the same as you Scotsâ

AND the Breton guys are not just Celts but Britons too:
When the English ( who are not Britons but Anglo Saxon/German/ EE ) talk about putting the GREAT back into Britain they donât know what they are saying:
Grande Bretagne (Great/Large Britain) was so named to differentiate from Bretagne (Brittany)
The Cornish & Bretons share the same language & our Welsh Cousins speak something very similar
The Brough Superior works was in Basford, Nottingham and was on a route I sometimes took home from work on my 250 Beezer. One day something went bang and I pushed it to their place. Donât think they were still making motorbikes, this was in about 1960 or so. But they certainly knew all about them.
Anyway they sorted it out for me, no charge, and I was home in time for tea.
Cheers for the pics Kev , thatâs a blast from the past, my dad in his younger days had an Indian motorbike and used to regale me with all the makes of the '20s and '30s, the Brough Superior being in his words the Rolls Royce of motorbikes including one with a reverse gear see here thevintagent.com/2017/07/26/roa ⌠stin-four/
Brough also made motor cars.

Hi Oily, this modified Ferguson TE 20 tractor was one of three taken on the 1955-58 Commonwealth Trans ant-artic Expedition the New Zealand contingent led by Sir Edmund Hillary of Mount Everest fame. I photographed this one in the Christchurch (NZ) museum during my 2006 visit. When i first saw it I had a sense seeing it somewhere before but could not put my finger on it until later that year returning to our regular holiday cottage in Orkney where on the wall was a print of such a tractor. The lady owner of the cottage is a honorary member of the Ferguson Society as her father sold over 1500 Fergies in Orkney and Shetland between 1948 and 1956 (most of them are still running !!)
Cheers, Leyland 600.
