One for today Buzzer.
That one survives, has been restored in the same livery, and it’s story due to appear in the Classic and Vintage Commercial mag Feb. issue, by coincidence I saw it mentioned in the Jan. issue only yesterday…

Just a few photos of some of the trucks being used in Nigeria was berthed at the port in Lagos over last couple of weeks. As in most of Africa older stuff American and European lot of the newer trucks from Asia.
An earlier time same place. Discharging 14000 tonnes of sugar took six weeks. These trucks took it away severely overloaded.
Thanks to DEANB, Buzzer and Silverdale for the pics.

I didn’t know Foden ever made buses!
sure did, well coach chassis anyway
here’s another one , my dads first coach , swapped his Austin ruby car for it, part time at first , drove a lorry in the day and worked this one nights and weekends.
tony
Foden made a lot of double deckers busses as well, some had the ‘Hillholder’ clutch system fitted. They made the coach that transported Fodens brass band around. Not my pics.
Pete.
Hi Tony, FBU 235 was a Foden PVSC6 Chassis No 27746 with Bellhouse Hartwell 33 seat coachwork. New in March 1949 to Shearings, Oldham. Also a Foden PSV brochure from the early 1950s, note the cross braced chassis and the steering wheel centre mounted speedometer and the New Look front end treatment without an exposed radiator as was the norm then.
