I’ve only once ever used a truck stop in the US, I can’t remember exactly where but it was between Las Vegas and LA, it was fabulous, everything a driver needed, even somebody to do his laundry while he got the truck serviced, he could feed and water himself (the ‘all you can eat’ breakfast choice was something to behold), I can still remember the crispy bacon. I watched one huge driver demolish a pile of pancakes that were topped with cream AND strawberries…for his breakfast . It was a great experience.
well grumpy sounds like it could be the t.a. in barstow as they still do the buffets parked there on this trip at the pilot

Among later examples and to quote Clive A Brown

windrush:
Foden made a lot of double deckers busses as well, some had the ‘Hillholder’ clutch system fitted. They made the coach that transported Fodens brass band around. Not my pics.Pete.

I may be wrong Buzzer but wasn’t it one of Bootrans, double manned DAF 2600 that went over the edge the eastern side of Bolu (death valley) around mid 75
2 good men that were sadly lost
