Please forgive my ignorance, but what does the “M” on the radiator stand for? Maudslay?

oiltreader:
Thanks to windrush for the info and Buzzer for pics   the Wests’ of Dunfermline Albion at a rough guess has approx 17+ tons of cwt bags of tatties on, handballing on/off, the good old days :unamused:

Top marks to whoever has put that load on, there’s been some hard graft there and it’s very tidy.

Had a regime change don’t know if i’m coming or going.

No need for air con in this ‘hybrid coachbuilt’ cabbed Merc. Looks like an old 1418 I think, not sure what the problem was, but the bonnet was up. The guy in the passenger wasn’t too bothered tho, and gave a big wave as I took the picture today, in Sepang, Malaysia.

Thanks to ERF-NGC-European and kmills for the pics
Hi kmills, a 1513, this one at Wadi Rum in Jordan.

That shot of the E. Nelson 4 wheeler is interesting as it was shot in Vauxhalls Luton plant and by the looks of the Viva body shells in the background, it would be in the early 60’s. The motor have been delivering or had delivered a consignment of carburettors which were manufactured at a factory on Park rd. in Barrow-in-Furness and it was apparently a regular job of Nelsons. Before my time but I was reliably told about it but it was a job that was right in Brady’s and Athersmiths “back yard” so I’m not just sure how Nelsons came to be involved ! I think the factory closed in the 60’s and I can’t recall the name of the firm, maybe Leyland 680 will shed more light on it ! Cheers Bewick.

The new Tata… looks a bit like a ERF doesn’t it…?

No idea mate, but I’m fairly sure it’s fitted with a proper 'box…

The Viva was made at Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant from '63 onwards. Collected back loads a few times from Hooton for the Docks(Newport and Cardiff) also dealers on the South Coast.
Oily
Just had a look at the Viva history and the first one rolled off the line in June '63, the body shells may well have been pressed at Luton.
