I had another visit to “The Honeyfarm” last week. Apologies for the repeats, but there are also a few new ones. Regards Kev.
Bye 'ell, that ERF is a handsome machine. I’ll volunteer to do a week with that.
On second thoughts maybe not, with my arthritic knees I’d never be able to get mounted, I’d need a ladder
Us old lads can remember(just) the day when we could leap in and out of those things without a second thought, now it would take quite a bit of planning

You’re not alone with the dodgy knees GOM. Probably due to jumping out of those old b######s!!!
Regards Kev.
Hi Kev i,v got a second hand power wheel chair, never raced or rallied, 12 month,s test would suit you down to the ground. But you,d need a class 1 to take the joy stick,
Regards Gordon
Hi Kevmac and GOM, that Chainbridge ERF 8 legger is one fast motor, about 6 years ago while taking part in the Tyne Tees Rally in my own ERF 46G LV whilst running in convoy approaching Sedgefield that ERF came up from behind passing everything and really was motoring. I believe it is an ex Pollock Transport motor.
Cheers, Leyland 600.

Hi Kev, The Vickers Tracked Machine IIRC Jack Olding at Birtley was the main dealer for them in those good old days Regards Larry.
Hi Lawrence, your mention of Jack Olding at Birtley is a blast from the past, there was also SLDC (Scottish Land Development Co) were also on or near this site, they were AEC dumptruck agents.
Cheers Leyland 600

Hi Buzzer, can’t think there’s a connection to Cyril Knowles the footballer, Spurs 1960s/70s, he died youngish at 47. My buddie Alan Long (Alan Long Transport) and myself regularly attended the then First Division games, made a point of being back home for Sat afternoons. From Oxford it was an hour either way to QPR or Coventry, they were at home on alternate Saturdays, fortunate to have seen some of the greats of football, Bestie for me was head and shoulders above them all.
