Is that a Triumph TR20, Steve?
Not sure of the numerical designation, but aye, 'twere indeed a Triumph Roadster (Bergerac style) from 1947,according to the card in the screen.
(only me, you and the usual suspects can remember Bergerac?)

Indeed. Steve- If memory serves, Bergerac had a maroon one?
There were two versions of the Triumph Roadster, the TR18 and TR20, the first having a 1.8 litre motor, the second a 2.0 litre. I had a 1.8 kindly donated by a lady who lived near me who had no use for it. One of it’s little foibles was that the piston in the brake master cylinder was directly welded to the pedal. This meant that when there was a degree of wear in the bore the piston/pedal would jam solid when you attempted to slow the plot down. I get shivers up my spine when I remember that I drove it for about three months having to lift the pedal upwards with the foot before pressing it down! I still see one occasionally whose owner lives in Buxton.
As stated, the engine went on to be developed into the Standard Vanguard, but began it’s life as a Jaguar in a six-cylinder form.

My choice for Top Gear presenter’s would be yourself, Harry Gill and Dennis ( Bewick )

Triumph sports cars, well way back when Adam was a boy, seems that long ago but in fact it was 1957, I had one of these,(same colour). I had photos of it but the problem was my wife took umbrage at the sight of a female in the passenger seat that she hadn’t been acquainted with , so guess what.
I traded the TR2 in for the Zodiac, a photo of which I’m happy to show escaped the wrath of scrutiny and destruction.

Hi rastone, the van looks a homemade jobbie with a slightly backward attempt on aerodynamics, I once hired (cheapo off an uncle) a Y for a weeks holidays, treating my dad, photos somewhere.
