A selection seen at the Bakewell Spectacular this weekend
Merc is one of only a handfull built in that it has a Daimler engine and no power steering. It is believed to be the only one in the UK.
The sole survivor of two prototype underfloor-engine lorries built by Leyland
Although this was obviously painted in the livery of Croppers Garage, Aintree many years ago, it has aNottingham registration. The two silver stars on the front of the cab leads me to think it was an ex Shipstones brewery dray.
Is that a Triumph TR20, Steve?

Sad to report the passing of Ronnie Cameron, a prolific snapper and collector of all photos transport and other stuff besides, with well over 12,000,000 hits on flickr, flickr.com/photos/dscn8785/sets/ that is the popularity of his following, he was a good friend and I will miss our Friday meets (when weather and his failing health permitted)
This photo from March 2013

Greetings.All.
Ref. RAS 713,the Triumph Roadster,it was also known as the Triumph 1800.It had column change on the right of the steering wheel and the headlamps were in those days “Single Dip”.As you can see the dickey seat came out of the boot and had it’s own windscreen.A mate of mine had one when I was in the R.N.,and we used to come up to London for weekend leave in it.I think the engine went on to become the engine for the first Standard Vanguard Phase one, another grand car.All the best,regards,900x20.
