Hi Oily, thanks for posting the link showing the Leyland powered timber extracting loco, I am sure this is the same machine. I did not realise that so many of these machines have been built out in NZ by so many different manufacturers, very interesting. Way back in the early days when extracting the giant Kauri trees they used steam winches like the one shown here.
