Watch out for “the lady” down Rivlin Valley Rd. She wears a long coat…just a coat, nothing else, and she’s a natural redhead. :open_mouth:
Strewth, I wonder what happened to her, I was only a young lad at the time, she traumatised me for life, I ■■■■ near ran off the road. :open_mouth:

Thanks to Leyland 680 and coca cola kid for the pics

Had a trip north this week before the border get’s closed. The weather was normal I was told, sun one minute
and torrential rain the next but I had a good time taking lots of pictures. The mixer is my first 64 reg, just
a shame it doesn’t have a name on it.

It was indeed the Granite City Oily, here are some with granite in the background plus a real
clue on the first one just in case proof was required.

Great stuff Truckfing, Nichols Tanker is a blast from the past I can remember in the late 50s, They had 8 wheeler platforms with a tank fastened onto the body, They used to deliver Herring Oil into Thos.Hedleys Ltd (Proctor & Gamble Ltd), in Trafford Park Manchester, They were AECs, & I often had a bit crack with their drivers in the works canteen, Happy days Eh, Keep the pictures coming its nice to see them , Regards Larry.

I took some photos at Cork Port (Rep of Ireland) last week and a couple of 8 leggers outside my house today as part of our early morning alarm call all this week!

Staying with the Aberdeen theme here is an example of both fleet and registration numbers being recycled.

Loving “FFS!”

In the late 60s I had a try at taking pictures on the motorway but neither me or the camera were ready for
the move and I stuck to taking static wagons for years. The picture is rubbish but I think it tell’s a story
with the empty lanes. It was taken just south of what is now Junction 35 of the M6 at the bottom of
Nether Kellet where we lived at the time and in those days the motorway finished at Carnforth, about
2 miles north of this spot. In the background can be seen Warton Crag Quarry which was owned by Wimpeys.
