As a youngster I can remember our coal being delivered by this company and an identical wagon, could even be the same wagon, yes quite clearly, yet, which day of the week it is  can give me a problem nowadays

Must have been a mightmare

I’m still trying to work out what make & model that Vespa lorry might be. I couldn’t make out the badge on the grille but I haven’t decided if it’s my old eyes or the old monitor that’s causing the problem!

Nice one altitude and to ROF after much magnifying I’m inclined towards a Dennis Pax.

Back again, I have in the past looked in on the Paul Townsend, a Bristolian and historian with a lot of Bristol Transport photos and stuff from the past including I find, Douglas Motorcycles of Kingswood, Bristol who it would seem the ā€œvanā€ belonged to, very interesting, quite a dynasty the Douglas family.

The ā€œvanā€ is of 1955 vintage but I can’t find the make of chassis or bodywork.
Oily

Thanks, Oily, you could well be correct. And there was I, hoping it would turn out to be something exotic!

I would say it’s a Dennis Oily.I did think it could have been an Albion, but the badge is nothing like it,

It is a modified Dennis Stork, Huntley and Palmers had some., They were fitted with an underfloor engine and were very similar to the Albion Claymore.
