British Road Services 63B494.Great.I hope this Albion is taking part in the 45th HCVS Trans Pennine Run Manchester to Harrogate Historic

1Believe these are both Scottish motors so can any one ID them, Buzzer
Well I would say that the 6 wheeler Albion is defo Scotch going off the platform body style very Scotish IMO, Plus the extra long fuel tank, Looks to me like a long distance motor, Regards Larry.
Hi Buzzer. CJS 303 Listed as an Albion Chieftain but I guess that is an error obviously a Reiver supplied to A.Mitchell & Sons Alness 5/10/55 by The Inverness Motor Co. (A division of Macrae & ■■■■) That is Inverness castle in the background, cab built by Ritchie of Aberdeen, the body and painting by J.J. Ingram of Aberdeen. Info from Ronnie Cameron collection.
Larry definitely a long distance motor running down through Carlisle in the 1950s.
I hope this answers your questions.
Cheers Leyland 600

Thanks L600, I wonder if Mitchells of Alnes are still going I used to see their Bulkers down here some time ago but not anymore ■■,Regards Larry.
Hi Larry, no I don’t think so, we have just spent a week up in Easter Ross and have been passing through the area regularly for a number of years now and cannot recall ever seeing any. The only company that looks familiar is Pat Munro skip hire etc which may be a branch of the A. Munro family from Alness.
Cheers. Leyland 600.

Could be a bit o’ a heid scratching dilemma, “'ah dinna ken whither 'am coming or going”
more seriously these vans (Peugeot Boxer) along with Citroen Relay and Fiat Ducato are built at the Fiat owned SEVEL factory at Atessa, Itlay. I have had three, 2007 a Fiat, 2011, a Peugeot and presently another Fiat.

Trailer was written off when a foreigner hit it from behind on M6 and pushed body on Atki into back of cab
Meikle Tennant owned the Atki and wanted it back after the accident but was refused it by his insurance co. despite having had his photo with the motor on the insurance companies advertisement. He got a phone call one morning from a traffic policeman friend at Penrith to tell him his motor was heading down the M6 on the back of a Hingleys motor. It looked as though a bit of a fiddle was worked there. Eddie.
