Hi Pete, thanks for the info on the Chieftain, I thought it was a Pilot cab by the shape of the D windows and was quite taken with it and its split windscreen but now when you point out that it has lost the one piece screen I must admit that the twin screens do look rather clumsy, otherwise a nice looking Albion always a favourite of mine.
Cheers, Leyland 600
Think this is Blue Circle truck, someone will know the detail Buzzer.

Hi Eddie,
I called in today for an enquiry regarding decals for my van and it was the main man who I chatted to, I appreciated the time he gimme, a bit o’ an insight into what they do with customers coming from far and wide and how wagons are painted, stencilled and/or wrapped, very interesting.
Cheers

You lads currently appear to have Albion - -on - the - brain
.
So ,…here`s my contribution.
I am not sure if the Johnnie Walker
Albion was photographed on its way to , or from , a " Booze Cruise" .
Cheers , (Hic !! ) , cattle wagon man.

Is it a REO ? Regards Larry.
Hi CWM, The Johnnie Walker Albion is a Victor bus chassis with cab by Holmalloy of Preston and was probably on its way to Dumfries Truck show last weekend, I did see it there. Up until recently owned by a chap near Ayr I believe it has recently been sold to the Scotlee proprietor remaining in Ayrshire. If you saw it last Friday then it was probably taking part in The Caledonian Carnforth Changeover road run from Dumfries to Carnforth Truck Haven and back.
Cheers Leyland 600
Jeff Graham,s Albion Chieftain was taking part in the Albion Centenary road run a good few years ago In company with another Holmalloy cabbed Chieftain I think this photograph was taken at Gretna Hall Hotel where the participants stayed for the night before running up to Glasgow the next day. However Biggar Rally could also be the venue looking at the background.
Cheers Leyland 600.
Hi “Leyland600” ,
Thanks for the interesting information about the “J.W.” Albion.
The photograph was taken on the A 685 , close to Sam Ostle & Sons` depot outside Kirkby Stephen , during the Easter Weekend Rally.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
