No, my camera skills at fault mate, caused by getting close with a very wide angle lens, the other motor (mine) looks a funny shape too!
The little Albion tanker belonged to some mates of mine back in the early seventies, in fact I sorted out a charging fault and a bit of wiring for them when they first got it. They’d just bought it off a nursery who’d used it for watering the plants. It was new to Shell/BP in 1937 and holds a whole 500 gallons! It was thanks to them that I got my Albion, they’d already more or less agreed to buy it, then they discovered the tanker, and as they were tanker drivers they bought it instead, referring me to the one I’ve still got 44 years later! Theirs changed hands several times, don’t know who owns it now but I believe it lives in a museum. Mine however lives in a converted hen house in my garden and gets driven a lot. A picture of the tanker here with one of it’s several owners. I think it looks a little better in it’s original Shell guise!

There’s a lot of government money (our taxes) going into that upgrade of the A1. They’ve done a decent job south of Bawtry/Retford.
Just thought I would post these two Bedfords as they are both for sale on a website today, they both seem quite tidy for any one who is into preservation, Buzzer.
