Lawrence Dunbar:
Well E 7 EGR. Is a Sunderland Reg & is most likely a cherished number, Because that model of Scania wasnât about with an E plate, Regards Larry.
Cherished numbers are not geographical or age related, you can have anything as long as you pay the price and
the number is not newer than the vehicle. (provided nobody else has it of course)
The EGR Scanias were operated by West Midlands Police as far as I know.

I think EGR is Scaniaâs âExhaust Gas Recyclingâ system, That vehicle is probably a Scania test vehicle on contract to Asda at Washington. Also, if my memory serves me correctly âthe spy cameraâ motors in the Midlands were provided to the police by Scania, FOC. Regards Kev.
Passed this yesterday on the M40, I was going North, one of JC Fioletâ Globetrotters, looked like he had fell asleep maybe or had to swerve to avoid something in the middle lane & couldnât pull her back & gone straight across & through the barrier, his load was all out the other side, cab other than lower/bumper damage etc was OK so driver probably alright hopefully! âThere but by the grace of God go us allâ!
Delivering in Croydon the other day, sun was shining while I was tipping, left my bar of chocolate on the dashâ & it melted, so put it up the hose when finished, minus 200c soon restored it to less gooey condition, took about 30 seconds .
