Cheers to neversweat1 for the pics  especially the Reading street scenes, Broad St and not sure about the other, (probably also Broad St.) the buses are Reading Transport livery of the time. Courage Brewery, I had a neighbour in Cowley who was a drayman on an Oxford based Courage dray. Alder Valley Buses also had a depot in Reading.

Yes Dave, I’m still busy working through the family jobs :unamused: :unamused: I am really looking forward to not getting up at silly o clock when the winter sets in, I have had one or two offers but i’m not tempted. In fact I’ve been taking a twisted pleasure in listening to the traffic reports and thinking how glad I am not to be involved. Regards Kev.

Aah, you’re getting the hang of the job now Kev :stuck_out_tongue: Wait until you’re sat in front of the telly watching the news with traffic blocked up by snow etc. You’ll know that you’ve finally graduated into retirement when you can sit and watch things like that and call out to the domestic staff…“fetch me another beer my love” :sunglasses:

Thanks to kevmac47 for the pics  and talking snow, it started here in Ross-shire this afternoon, wettish at the moment but with temperature due to drop tonight it might be whiter tomorrow.

From the Oregon Department of Transport, a winter scene with Mount Thielson in the background.
