These shots are of the last motor I bought. I loved the Scania from day one but I couldnt live with that hideous colour!!!

More from The Hebrides, starting with a LHD AWD TK and trailer, I’m guessing used for boat transport. Land Rovers and other older stuff in the yard, and a boat, when I was taking the photo, had a cheery wave from the owner, but didn’t get out as the Post Bus was behind, the people I’ve stopped and yarned with have all been so welcoming.

Hi Richard you got the name wrong the driver, the man who did that was Micky Long in a 111 scannie I bought for two and a half grand from under Pats nose, I think he thought it was going to be K2 and I only saw it by chance from the motorway on my way to buy a window winder for another scannie I had at the time and bought it on my return, cheers Buzzer.
Hi John,
Yes those were the days I paid £1200 for this F89 from ARD in Portsmouth an own account operator who replaced it with a globetrotter, they wouldn’t let me have it till it had had a full service !,
A Mary Hopkins moment
Parked in Horry’s favourite place It’s still running today, I sold it to a chap in Ringwood who pulls a vintage boat around with it.
Hope you and The Boss are ok.
Regards
Richard
That would be Mike Phillips who used to drive with me on Iran Container Co.
He’s still using it to shift his boats all over Europe!
Cheers to MaggieD and Buzzer for the pics

Volunteers required to look after the shop from Sunday for a few days, as good a job as you did last time will do fine.

Leyland600:
Hi oily, The Peter McCallum Atki belongs to the Tyson Burridge preserved collection and ran in his fleet at one time. The J.J. Murdoch Atki was sold on last year, its load of logs has the side door open and the steps partially down for access to Ian’s caravan hidden inside. This dummy load has now been transferred to a Scania 4 wheeler and carries on camping at various rallies. Here it is on Shap summit taking part in the Dumfries to Carnforth Caledonian Changeover Road Run this year.
Cheers, Leyland 600
Thanks for the info and pic
