Hi Oily, Sorry my mistake although I read somewhere that the Ecurie Ecosse transporter was an Albion indeed it is a Commer but shows a version of Saltire cross on the radiator which could have persuaded a non Albion fan that it was an Albion. However the coachwork is definitely by Walter Alexander’s coachworks either at Drip Road, Stirling or the new factory at Camelon depending when it was built.
Cheers, Leyland 600.

Have found this on Wikimedia in connection with the Ecurie Ecosse Racing team…
The Team was accompanied by a 2-axle double-deck car transporter capable of carrying three cars (one inside and two on top) together with a support crew, and with mobile workshop facilities.
The transporter was built by coachbuilders Alexander, of Falkirk, Scotland. Based on a Commer chassis it is powered by a Commer TS3 three cylinder horizontally-opposed two-stroke diesel engine.
The transporter has been restored and is still in use.
sorted

Oily, here’s Les Baston’s restored ERF, I took the shot at The Honeyfarm Berwick ,last year. As usual with Les (as anyone who knows him will agree) it is excellent. I hope he makes it to our “do” next weekend at the Newcastle Labour Club. Regards Kev.
For Turps & Windrush: Spotted this one powered (!!!) by a P3 today. Also heard it running, definitely sounds like a Perkins!
Nice ones kevmac47 and ROF cheers
Two snapped in the Bath area, thanks to Bristol Lad.

Hi Oily saw this trailer advertised on a farm website for £750 looks in good order and is a Dyson 15ft long and 8ft wide original mudguards and vac brakes spare wheel in its carrier, would look good behind an old eight wheel rigid don’t you think and not a lot to make it smart once again cheers Buzzer.

Hi Buzzer, no obvious evidence of restoration, so original and in really good nick for its age, nice one, I have or did have a photo of something similar behind a wagon, must have a look.
Cheers

It’s thanks to Matthew Kenwrick for sharing the following photos from Queensland Oz, Leader trucks were manufactured at Toowomba, Queensland 1972 to 1984.
Oily
Again thanks to Matthew Kenwrick, the story is he knocked on the the door of the old shack and asked if he could take a photo of the Kenworth…the reply from the old guy was “take the bloody truck”.
