Oily my man, I’d like to thank you for this work you do on here, I get a lot of pleasure from it, especially the older motors.

Very kind of you Brian. thanks for that , I note your location is Dewsbury and by association reminds me of a couple o’ guys on the City of Oxford buses in the 50s, who were from Dewsbury, driver and conductor Bill Poole and John Hiscock, each bus had a trip sheet, with any fault report which had to be timed off and signed at the end of your shift, yeh you’ve guessed it, Poole Hiscock off and the time, a warning was given that this would cause offence to female staff and in future christian names should be included, bloody norah
offend a clippie, not the ones I knew, hey I digress…off to look for an AEC, and with thanks to Len Rogers here it is.
Cheers

I am the owner of this lorry and took this actual picture a few years back, I am just curious as to where you got it from? Website or individual?

Hi FODEN64, my apologies to you for using your photo without your permission, back in Jan of this year I lost(pc crash) my considerable collection of lorry etc photos, so I have no way of tracing where your photo came from. I have removed it from page one of this thread. Prior to becoming member(Aug 2010), the collection came from all over, sent by e-mail, from magazines, books and the net. Upon joining I thought I would share them, only to find out later that copyright is all, which set me to seek permission from collection owners and also study Creative Commons licence rules with regard to use of images.
