Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 1)

A long-shot here… But my dad, now 87, used to drive one of these, as an RAF reservist at Biggin Hill Aerodrome. There is a Polish company which make models, but it would be beyond him and me to build the model. Anyone on here know if I could buy one “made-up”?
There are a few model companies that make kits of this type of Bedford QL but I don’t think there are any built up models such as Dinky diecast or similar. Your best bet would be to find a modeller who could build you one but bear in mind it would cost as a commission build unless someone could do it for free. Try a Military Modelling site they could advise. Franky.

Well in the 50/60s I used to reload from Beardmores in Glasgow with the very same shafts to Doxfords and Parsons in Newcastle, The main contractor at that time was P & S Contracts Ltd, They rang some of the first big Macks Ide ever seen in those good old days, Larry.

What looks an AEC Mammoth Major 6, and the Golden Arrow pulled by a 4-6-0 loco, probably British. Would some of you know the spot where the picture was taken? Thanks.
