Yes, obviously, and I’d say at some kind of junction, looking at the signal gantry in the background; couldn’t that be between Biclkey and Petts Wood? A detail I hadn’t noticed is the guy in the hut, certainly in charge of the level crossing. I guess tis is a temporary arrangement for some kind of building site?

No it was at Doxford Marine Engines Sunderland.

Well in the 50/60s I used to reload from Beardmores in Glasgow with the very same shafts to Doxfords and Parsons in Newcastle, The main contractor at that time was P & S Contracts Ltd, They rang some of the first big Macks Ide ever seen in those good old days, Larry.

Dodges of that generation were flying machines when fitted wth the perkins engine and eaton two speed axles.
