That must be what is now (GKN) Sankey at Wellington (I think) in Telford. They had a massive factory there, used to make LandRover chassis for Defenders amongst other things I think. last there about 12 years or so ago now so things have probably changed.

Oily, that trailer behind the Castrol ERF was my old slider. That shot was taken on the North of England Run donkeys years ago. At that time we were still busy restoring the tank we had aquired for the ERF. The ride on the ERF when running solo was “a bit lumpy” to say the least, and the rules of the run were no side guards, ( another rule was age restricted) but the organiser, (Ted Hannon) turned a blind eye to that, although some of the prima donna’s who drove vehicles they had no hand in restoring and were on a “jolly” with the boss took a dim view of us. I hope Ted does a second revival of the N.O.E. as it was a great day out.Regards Kev.

Dennis Bones’s Foden is a very sad story. Not long after the shot was taken Dennis decided on a major overhaul and restoration of his pride and joy. He had just finished the job, over about two years on a very restricted budget when some mindless morons set fire to the building on the farm where he stored the motor, It was totally destroyed!!! Regards Kev.

Hi kevmac47…Interesting your ERF connection and sad about Bone’s Foden, soul destroying that is , again it’s thanks to bumper for posting the pics and stirring the memory.
Oily
Old files and folders are still in a mess and likely to remain that way so apologies if I re-post, like perhaps the Scania, which is always worth another look anyway.

Depending on your version of Windows 7 you can install XP as a virtual PC and use your older software on it.
If you have W7 Pro or Ultimate you can download everything you need to install it here:
If you have the basic W7 version you can still install virtual PC but you will need your own XP disk to install XP mode on it.
You need to remember though, that a virtual PC needs to be treated like a proper computer and needs virus protection if you go on the Internet with it, plus all the updates etc.
If you need any more info you can PM me for it - good luck - Steve
