Foton Daimler, cab looks a bit like the inside of my shed.

Wednesday’s waggons, Buzzer
That last one looks more like my kind of ‘chelsea tractor’!
But for the road, I’ll stick to that Dutch F10 GT (unless, of course, that 143:450 on an L-plate still has the old 10-sp syncro box in it!).

Three pints of strong porter in the Stirling Castle should fortify him for changing one of those inner wheels on the trailer. Can’t fault his modus operandi (for the period, that is!)

I dont ever recall seeing a " Four In Line " trailer as long as this one, Looks like its a 40 footer.

Flashers look to be in a odd place. I think they used to get about a bit P.
Great pictures Buzzer, the last picture is a queue of traffic to enter the Mersey Tunnel in Liverpool.
Four roads meet at this point…St Johns Lane, Whitechapel, Victoria Street, and Manchester Street.
The picture was probably taken between 4pm & 6pm, evening rush hour, with many people going
home to Birkenhead, Wallasey, Ellesmere Port, etc. Cheers, Ray Smyth.

It is a great picture Ray, despite always being most anxious to get out of Liverpool , I have never in almost 60 years on the road been through the Mersey Tunnel. Is/was it a toll tunnel? I see what look like toll booths there, but what a nightmare.

A bit of nonsense

Nonsense? Nonsense.
As I’m fond of saying to the youngsters at the depot, if I’m reversing a wagon and I hear a loud bang, I stop. It’s wot us professional drivers do.

The Mersey Tunnels have always been Tolled, when first built the powers to be said " It would be free " after the debt was paid off, but it is such a money spinner, that is never going to happen !
The Toll booths can be seen in the photograph behind the two Thames traders, and between the AEC tanker and Foden.

My pleasure.
Have another one on me. This is a bloke running an old KW K100 with a CAT 3408/ 16-sp Spicer/ Rockwell set-up at 80tonnes … (watch how gentle he is with it in the lower ratios)

AFAIK he’s still running the old girl. I daresay DIG (Spardo?) know who this bloke is.
